• Recognize the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations for priorities in clinical effectiveness reviews

• Describe the role of comparative effectiveness in managing a patient population

• Recognize appropriate stakeholders in comparative effectiveness research

• Interpret the impact of comparative effectiveness on managed care
